Cars Reviews » 2016 » 2016 Volvo XC90 review, price, specs
Volvo has recently unveiled the latest generation of their popular luxury SUV – the 2016 Volvo XC90. The SUV with seven seats was first introduced in 2002 and it has become an instant hit. The latest generation feels more like a completely new car and not just an update. The new Volvo XC90 2016 has lots of serious competition, especially in Europe, where every major car manufacturer (Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi) has at least one vehicle in that class.
2016 Volvo XC90 review
The Swedish manufacturer is known for producing cars that have very modest and elegant design of the exterior. The 2016 Volvo XC90 has exterior that is elegant, but not aggressive like other SUVs in its class. When you compare the latest generation with its predecessors, you can see that the latest model looks really slick and smooth. The front of the car is designed a little different than other vehicles from the Volvo line up – the headlights are wider, but smaller, while, on the other hand the grille is much bigger than on the other Volvos and it serves as housing for the company logo. On the back of the car you can see the iconic Volvo taillights, which has become like a trademark of their design. The new XC90 will be offered with 22-inch alloy wheels that have completely new look, which fits great in the design of the whole SUV.
Volvo luxury SUV interior changes
When you take a look on the inside of the 2016 Volvo XC90 you can really see how a car can have a luxurious interior, but done in a minimalistic way – it is really awesome. The whole dashboard is dominated by a large touchscreen display (the display works with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto) and it is used to control most of the function of the car. This luxury SUV will be available with 1400W Bowers and Wilkins sound system.
