2016 Nissan Titan diesel, price, spec – The previous generation of the Titan has been around since the early 2003, so it was quite an old truck by any standards and especially when you think that most of its competitors received at least three different updates during this time. Well, lucky for it Nissan decided that it was the right time for an upgrade with the new Nissan Titan 2016 which has been designed from ground up, meaning that everything on it is new and fresh. While most people expected a similar truck in design, in fact, the new model is quite a different beast with a much more daring design, similar to a few other trucks out there.
2016 Nissan Titan redesign
On the interior there have been quite a few changes in terms of accessibility, so all the equipment inside is a lot easier to use while wearing gloves. This was required in order to make the new Nissan Titan 2016 better suited for a lot more people. The base interior trim also increased to something that now resembles a family sedan with standard air conditioning, an infotainment system with 8 speakers as well as electric seats, mirrors and windows.
Just as we previously stated, the exterior of the 2016 Titan became more of an icon than anything else. It seems like the Nissan engineers and designers took something from every truck on the market and blended in a good looking but predictable design. There are five different 2016 Nissan Titan colors available: Forged Copper, Magnetic Black, Cayenne Red, Pearl White and Deep Blue Pearl.
Nissan Titan 2016 specs
Under the hood of the new Nissan Titan 2016 we are going to see two different engines. The base petrol powered truck is likely going to feature either the same 5.6-liter V8 as that of the previous engine. However, the diesel is rocking a 5.0-liter Cummins supplied turbocharged V8 which is capable of 300 horsepower and more than 550 lb-ft of torque, allowing the truck to safely tow as much as 20,000 pounds. Also, considering it is a diesel, we expect it to be able to return as much as 22 MPG with ease. Both trucks come with a new 6 speed heavy-duty automatic gearbox and rear wheel drive as standard. Four-wheel-drive system is only available as an option for now.
2016 Nissan Titan release date and price
The new Nissan Titan 2016 is not only bigger, but also more masculine and if you ask us, it might just be one of the better pickup truck vehicles that are currently on the market. The truck has been released back in January 2015 and a production model is going to be released in late 2015. There is going to be available both as a diesel and also as a petrol engined truck, so it will have a worthy competitor for all the others. The 2016 Nissan Titan price hasn’t been established just yet but $30,000 for the base petrol engined pickup truck and around $40,000 for the diesel might just be correct.
